The last year was marked by a very strong activity; we achieved to deliver all our customers on time by anticipating and by managing the priorities. We thank you for the excellent communication and your support, for the benefit of both companies!

In order to increase and secure our production capacity, we have decided :

• To intensify our subcontracting partnerships
• To invest both in forging and machining

The situation on the steel markets is still complicated by the tension on the supplies. Our stocks (internal such as consigned) allow us to build a safety cushion while steelworks leadtimes are getting longer and prices are still increasing.

Our aim has always been to maintain stable prices as long as possible. We know you want to remain competitive in order to win market shares and therefore need the support of a reliable supplier.

Dialogue and quality of our relations are essential to keep the best possible collaboration!

Raw material …is the starting point of our close cooperation!

Stévenin Nollevaux buys more than 6500 tons of steel per year which will be forged to obtain your components. 

In the form of bars (diameter 16 mm up to 70 mm), we offer a wide range of more than 20 different grades to produce your parts and to develop your projects.

Carbon steel, boron steel, steel for heat treatment, stainless steel and some more … Our expertise and our know-how allow us to propose you the best choice of steel adapted to your specific requirements.

We have selected the best suppliers on the criteria of price, quality and stock consignment. In addition to our own stock, it gives us the reactivity in order to guarantee our delivery times in a context of increasing steel leadtimes.

FORGE, our tool of numerical simulation is product oriented.

• The input weight implemented to obtain your forging is exactly calculated from the very beginning of the study.
• Your project is complex: we advise on the best ratio forging / geometry and make you save time of development.
• If special steel grades are required, FORGE allows us to be confident and support you !
• The forge process development is quickly made thanks to the preliminary calculations and does not require successive trials.
• Continuous improvement: during the product lifetime we optimize the production process as well as the durability of the tooling and share with you these improvements!

With quality tooling, we produce quality forgings. That is the reason why we control ourselves both their design and production: dies, tooling for coining and bending as well as machining fixtures are manufactured in our own tooling shop.

The dies and the tools for trimming and deburring or punching (see our newsletter of April, 2017) are at the heart of the forging know-how. The cavities are machined in special steel grade inserts. They are nitride hardened and hard chrome plated and made ready to be set up on the hammer for the manufacturing of the forgings. Their maintenance is strategic: after every production, each element is checked and expertized before storage (see our newsletter of October, 2016).

The lifetime expectancy (quantity forged / remaining to be forged) of the dies is constantly updated in our ERP. This allows us to plan the repairs or renewals which are 100 % realized in our in-house tooling shop.

Availability and anticipation: this is our policy to be always operational and to provide 100% satisfaction to all your orders. In addition, strategic parts are secured by another set of brand new inserts.
