Developing more and more sophisticated components and services with our customers is now our daily task …

For a specialist in material handling, our team has designed a component which is now integrating several functions.

We have brought our expertise to a manufacturer of construction equipment for nuclear power plants in the preparation of their specifications.

A very tight traceability procedure has been set up by our quality team for a skilift world leader which is requiring a no failure warranty for all safety critical components.

Start your project with us as early as possible in order to share the best ideas!

We now use the most performant simulation software for the forging industry : this investment is a key for progress and innovation. Here are the main advantages :

Quotations to our customers are consolidated thanks to an optimized calculation of the right material input and exact diameter of bar.

A reduced time to market for your product : as the design cycle will be facilitated, your project will be handled very quickly.

An accurate prediction of the best forging process for your product, less process and material tryouts, extended die life contribute to productivity.

At the end of the day, thanks to this new expertise our team will be more efficient in new and more complex designs, new materials…

This is also part of our employment program strategy, especially with our youngest people : Benjamin, 23, who has been working for one year in our CAD department is enthusiastic : “working with numerical advanced technology is a great experience for my first job and it brings me a real added value in my daily task”

If your product must reach a specific mechanical strength, we can advise the best compromise between material and heat treatments.

In this edition we will focus on the direct quenching process and final tempering. Pierre, aged 25, is our specialist in this department :

“Direct hardening (or quenching) is done in line with the forging process and is an operation which elevates the hardness of the part at its maximum.

In doing so we directly use the forging temperature to quench the product associated with a controlled cooling; therefore the cost of this operation is very low.

The steel structure is changed thanks to this process and the final mechanical strength will be fine-tuned after tempering.”

Do not hesitate to ask Pierre Strub for more details on heat treatments.
